Tonight I am so thankful that I joined MAPS, it is amazing to be able to meet professionals in the medical field and be able to interact with them one on one in a non-work environment. Making connections and being able to find shadow positions is so helpful. These professionals make me really want to help people. Being told that someone loves their job makes it that much more motivating to keep working through school, even though I have others telling me that I will not make it. Although I am not 100% sure what I want to do for the rest of my life, I know that helping people and letting them achieve their goals no matter what obstacles stand in the way is what I want to do. Success is not about the title that you have or the money in the bank, it is about going to work everyday and knowing that you are doing what makes you happy.
